Savvy Coders
Savvy Coders is an immersive virtual technology-focused coding boot camp offering classes in Full Stack Web Development (12 weeks), Data Analytics + Python (12 weeks), and Cyber Security (20 weeks). Designed for working professionals, classes are held Monday through Thursday evenings and taught by industry experts in small, interactive groups. The curriculum emphasizes both technical and soft skills, helping students craft resumes, LinkedIn profiles, elevator pitches, and receive job placement support.
In the Full Stack Development program, students build a capstone project while learning HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Git, UX/UI, Node/Express, Cloud Deployment, AI and more. Students earn an industry-recognized ICAgile Certification, SavvyCoders certificate of completion, and job placement support.
The Data Analytics + Python course prepares students for data analyst roles, covering Python, SQL, Pandas, AI and Tableau for data visualization. Students complete a capstone project, Students earn an industry-recognized ICAgile Certification, Savvy Coders certificate of completion, and job placement support.
The Cyber Security program develops foundational and advanced skills for a cybersecurity career. Students learn about cyber attacks, securing systems, hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), virtualization, scripting, malware removal, and backups. Advanced topics include networking analysis (Cisco Packet Tracer, Wireshark), penetration testing, cloud security (Azure, AWS), and ransomware defense. Graduates gain the expertise needed to secure digital environments and address real-world challenges. Students earn an industry-recognized ICAgile Certification, SavvyCoders certificate of completion, and job placement support.
Applicants must complete an application and interview, with scholarships and free crash courses available. Graduates receive certificates of completion and connections to hiring companies, supporting their transition into tech careers.
Savvy Coders is an approved training provider through the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development and is an official ICAgile Training partner. Additionally, Savvy Coders is approved to receive WIOA funding through the State of Missouri and Illinois. Savvy Coders is approved for the H1b-One Workforce Grant and Missouri Fast Track Grant.

I would highly recommend Savvy Coders. I graduated earlier this year and have since been finding opportunities around every corner it seems. You must be ready to commit to the schedule and do your part outside of the course if you want to be successful, but if you do commit the time and energy, study, and do the necessary work on your part afterwards I believe that anyone can have success. Another thing that I took away from Savvy Coders was a bond with my fellow class mates and team that has carried on after graduation. It is exciting to keep up with the others and see where the course has taken them and what jobs they land afterwards. I can honestly say without the interview preps and the help building my "brand" and resume I do not think I would have gotten the attention that I have been from employers. In case anyone is curious I have only been out of class a little over 1 month and have had a handful of interviews most of which I am still waiting to hear back from. I also landed a great freelance opportunity that I have been working on a few weeks now and pays a little over triple what my previous pay was. I am also working on a part time internship with a company based out of Miami, FL building a new JavaScript library. Full Stack Web Development
Savvy Coders is a great bootcamp to take you from zero to hero, they require you to complete some precourse material to be accepted into the program which took me about a week to complete. Over the course of 12 weeks you will learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, how to build a Single Page Application, MongoDB, and how to host your front end / backend so they communicate with each other and so that they can be visited on the web. All of your learnings will be applied to your capstone project on a weekly basis through homework assigned on the weekends. At the end of the 12 weeks you will get the opportunity to display your capstone project to a group of hiring entities and people with tech backgrounds. The career coaching and networking are awesome.
You will need to apply yourself throughout your time here, just showing up and doing the assigned work will not be fully sufficient to land a job at the end of the bootcamp. Plan on spending at least an equal amount of time researching things that interest you and things you can apply to your capstone project if you want to separate yourself from the crowd.
Also, make sure you communicate with your classmates and help them / learn from them, the connections you make are important.
I can say I was able to land interviews before the end of the course and I am currently in the final stages of interviewing with a very promising opportunity and just graduated two days ago.

I took this bootcamp with no prior knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node and MongoDB. 12 weeks later, i am able to build dynamic websites by using all the tools that i learned from the bootcamp with confidence. Savvy Coders was a great introduction into the tech world. I believe that the network that Savvy Coders provided will help me through my journey into the tech world, and considering the competition out there, this is probably the most cost-effective boot camp out there.
Attendance is mandatory. If you are new to software development, you must keep up and ask as precise of questions as possible OUTSIDE of class. Instructors use a LOT of industry slang. Learn from this.
If you are considering this boot camp, please note that doing the pre-coursework is highly recommended.
After going through this boot camp, I feel empowered and grateful for the knowledge and the network of the budding tech professionals from my cohort.

I went into this 11 week program with zero programing knowledge, and left with a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a focus on object oriented programming. The JavaScript portion of the course got pretty heavy into the single page web design idea which was the most challenging part of the course, but from what I understand, is a more progressive approach to building a web application / web site. I really enjoyed all my instructors and TA’s, and was pleasantly surprised on how much they focused on career and professional development towards the end of the course. It was more useful for some students than others, but a great addition to the curriculum none the less. Everything you will learn in the course will come together full circle in a Capstone Project and will be presented in a Demo Day which is the last “day” of class. Demo day was stressful but actually fun!
All I wanted out of this course was to get an idea of, not only if programming was for me, but if the tech culture as a whole fit my personality, and this course fit the bill perfectly – all the while not breaking the bank. My only criticism or suggested improvement would be to make sure all the instructors are aligned on how the content will be presented and taught to the students. The disconnect between the instructors made learning a bit more challenging then probably needed. Other than that, highly recommended!

I am a recent Savvy Coders graduate and I can only say that taking this course was a great decision! I not only learned to code, but I met wonderful people. The teacher and the TAs did a great job.
