Power Platform Administration Class

I discovered the Power Platform Administration class through an opportunity I found on LinkedIn. Seizing the chance, I enrolled and attended the class, which turned out to be a pivotal decision for my career.

The class was led by highly experienced professionals from the Microsoft ecosystem. Their extensive knowledge and real-world experience were evident in their teaching methods. They effectively transferred their expertise through comprehensive and practical instruction, making the complex topics accessible and engaging.

The course was challenging yet immensely rewarding. It covered crucial areas necessary for the role, including the technical knowledge needed for the job, effective client presentation skills, and a deep understanding of business processes. This holistic approach equipped me with the skills to confidently engage with clients, gather essential data to build tailored systems, and present solutions effectively to companies.

Transitioning from teaching to my new role as a Power Platform Consultant has been transformative. The PLA class provided me with the foundation and confidence to excel in this new field. Over the past six months, I have thoroughly enjoyed my job and continue to find fulfillment and growth in my new career path.

My journey with Power Learn Academy has been nothing short of transformative. As a recent graduate, I can attest to the academy’s unparalleled commitment to providing a flexible and comprehensive educational experience through its hybrid class structure.
Balancing life’s responsibilities while pursuing education can be daunting, but Power Learn Academy made it seamless. Through the 12-week program 6 weeks were spent remote while the other weeks were spent in class.
The academy’s adaptability extended beyond just the class format. The faculty and staff were incredibly supportive and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the material was understood. Their willingness to provide personalized support extended outside the classroom as they believed in each and every one of us.
Moreover, the job placement assistance I received upon passing my certification test was exemplary. I Immediately had a job lined up upon the passing of my test. The career services team’s dedication to aligning my skills with the right opportunities led to a job placement that not only matched my qualifications but also supported my long-term career goals.
In essence, Power Learn Academy is more than an educational institution; it’s a community that nurtures your growth and respects your individual journey. I am immensely grateful for the experience and the doors it has opened for me.    

I did some work in Statistics with R and SparklyR. Really, the session was so enlightening. We went through many functions and variables, showing how they interact in the performance of even complex statistical analysis. The combination of R with SparklyR really did a great job in handling datasets that were huge and would have taken much strain to operate manually using conventional R.

Secondly, the extension of R by SparklyR to support distributed computing was really an important takeaway for me because one will be able to handle massive data sets that are usually out of the memory bound of a single machine. I also learned how to manipulate and analyze data across different nodes in a Spark cluster, which was quite interesting.

The examples were run through, from manipulating data by applying the functions such as `mutate`, `filter`, and `summarize`. The session also looked at how to create and manage Spark DataFrames, which are essential when working with large-scale data. I also learned more about how one may apply statistical models to Spark DataFrames, as well as the extent to which SparklyR simplifies this process while still maintaining the flexibility and power of R.

Overall, it was a really productive session that greatly helped in enhancing my learning of R for statistics within a distributed computing environment.
