I learnt python from dataquest and trust me it's the best way possible out there for someone who is absolute beginner to get the concepts clear as a crystal. The approach to solve the questions are unique. After reading the theory I was headed to practice where I applied my theoretical knowledge into practical coding. The questions were super relevant and to the point with respect to theoretical knowledge. And after solving questions I was directed to solve some projects which again enhanced my coding skills. I'm truly grateful to dataquest for providing such an exceptional platform where coding never bores me . Thank you !

I’m very satisfied with the service and the quality of education provided. Dataquest has been instrumental in enhancing my skills and understanding of data roles.

If you’re able to have it paid for by your employer, Dataquest can be a godsend. It’s a robust platform with its own dedicated IDE and plenty of documentation to review for use after.

Before Dataquest, Python seemed like a scary prospect— I was very much a SQL and Excel analyst but knew I had to broaden my horizons. As someone able to learn independently, Dataquest fit perfectly into my schedule. It’s all self-paced learning, meaning that I could transform the lull between work projects into meaningful career development.

Sometimes I’m on Dataquest everyday, sometimes just once a week. I’m able to learn at a pace that works with real life. Helping that is the robust community surrounding the tool with its own ticketing system and discourse— very few problems you may encounter haven’t been already troubleshot by others.

Dataquest will become a valuable asset to me as I seek to further my Data Science education in a graduate school setting and continue to practice in my current role as a Data Analyst. Plus, Dataquest taught me how to use Seaborn: easy, sleek visualization any time you need it.

An ideal Professional Development opportunity and somewhere to use that fund if you’re given it.

Overall I'm happy with Data quest. The lessons are thorough and understandable. Sometimes they refer to outside links for the theoretical stuff, which I'm ok with, and they give a good concise explanation of what you'll need. 

The projects are a mixed bag. Some are just a rehash of the material, so there's value added in that you take what you've learned and apply it. But frequently I need to look at the "solution" notebook for a few cells that were totally not in the material. I know real world is like that, but I am sometimes left wondering "how was I supposed to know that?"

Still, in happy with the content. 

My journey with Dataquest began with an online Microsoft program offering scholarships for students to learn Azure. As I started using the platform, I discovered an amazing community that encouraged engagement through sharing and collaboration. I stumbled upon the machine learning material and eagerly began learning. While I had prior project experience, Dataquest inspired me to share my learnings on social media, taking on the role of a teacher to break down concepts for others.
After consistently sharing for about 4 months, I received an invitation to interview for a machine learning engineer position at Meta. They were impressed with my profile and passion for learning. During the initial screening, I realized the need to brush up on data structures and algorithms, and once again, I turned to Dataquest for guidance. As a senior medical student, I'm not seeking full-time roles, but the interview experience—simply from posting about my learning journey—has been incredibly rewarding and proves that anyone willing to go the extra mile can do it.
I love how Dataquest encourages learning in public and emphasizes the value of peer support. Their incremental learning approach helps learners grasp concepts deeply, which, from my experience, is exactly what top companies seek: individuals who understand the fundamentals and can explain them clearly to anyone.

So far I'm mostly happy with the quality of the courses but will not be renewing my subscription due to a disappointing customer service experience. Don't expect ANY flexibility on the company's behalf once they have your money. Once you create a free account, you are served incessant ads, banners and emails to purchase the premium service. Eventually I did, but immediately thereafter, difficult personal circumstances arose that forced me to delay my start by about one month. I wrote, not to request a refund, but simply a one month extension. I had not logged in or completed any courses in this time. I was hopeful my request would be honored, as a new customer with plans to renew my subscription. But at the very least, a thoughtful response would have sufficed. Instead I received a one-line email response declining my request.. My subsequent emails asking to turn-off auto-renew were ignored for days. I finally heard back from someone who lectured me that subscription courses are about "access" and not "usage." While this may be true, they've lost out on at least a couple hundred dollars of revenue from me (and I suspect others) due to their inflexibility. So long story short, don't expect any kind of human element here. Dreadful customer service. I look forward to taking my business elsewhere. 

I've been using Dataquest for about 2 months and it's been a great experience thus far. My experience with the support team, to the various resources available on Dataquest, the "learn by doing" teaching, and the ability to learn at your own pace. Additionally, seems quite in dept compared to the boot camp I'm currently enrolled in. One knock on Dataquest compared to bootcamps the lack of career support if you are happening to be switching careers. They have supplementary sources on their blog on how to best position yourself for a career in data analytics though.

 

If you are a beginner in data science, this is the best place to start your journey towards a wonderful career. Data is the new oil. And by learning Data Science from Dataquest will make sure that you will have a thorough foundation to pursue this career. Now let me get this straight, There is no course on the internet that is going to teach you everything about data science. And that is because data science is a really vast field. It would take years to become expert in it.

What Dataquest does best is that it makes sure that their students have a thorough foundation in data science. That is, if you learn from Dataquest, you will be ready to take on the toughest data science course on the internet. And why is that? It is because unlike other websites, Dataquest never goes easy on their students to make sure that their students develop problem-solving skills which are very crucial in data science.

The best part is the Dataquest community. A very active helping community. No matter what problem you are facing in data science, most of the time you will get a thorough solution from the community. I can assure you that after going through their course you will be completely satisfied with the knowledge you have attained.
