I attended the UX Design program back in 2019 and when my life took a turn and I needed to pivot, when I decided to go back to school for Full-Stack Development I decided to go back to Prime for their FS program. The experience at Prime is one not just of learning but support. From the instructors, support staff, and extensive alumni there is so much after program support. When i was researching other programs in my area, I couldn't find any that had the comprehensive support that Prime has for its students and alumni. To include career support as part of the program is rare but at Prime it's just another piece of the puzzle. I felt that in 20 weeks of the program, I absorbed so much. My instructors for the Full Stack program were so helpful. The saying is at Prime it is a fire hose turned up to 100. It's an intense, full time program that demands a lot of it's students. But that intensity is what allows its students to be more flexible, adaptable, and also fosters an ability to learn new technologies AFTER the program that we otherwise wouldn't have had the ability to understand.

I found TTS through a local networking event where a regional representative told me about the bootcamps offered, and I decided to enroll in the Full Stack Web Development course. I had the absolute best time in this course! I learned so much about front-end and back-end development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as specialized frameworks to create beautiful web pages and interactive applications. The back-end education and concepts we went over during our object-oriented programming in Java section were also incredibly valuable to me since I do not have a computer science degree. Overall, I would definitely recommend TTS to others who want to change careers or supplement their knowledge because the comprehensive nature of the bootcamp really allowed me to feel confident saying that I am now a full stack developer. Before making my decision, I researched many private courses and programs at other universities. I can tell you that this is the most comprehensive and balanced program at a competitive fee. At others schools, you get a third of the material from this course for the same price. Another important factor is the excellent reputation of Columbia University as one of the most prestigious universities not only in the US but the world. This translates into the quality of its educational programs and teaching staff. Also, this certificate program allows one to attend classes in the evening so as not to interfere with one’s job. It’s very convenient for those working individuals who want to further develop their UX/UI skills or change their profession altogether.
Why did I choose the UX/UI Design program? I have a degree in web design, programming, and computer graphics. However, I did very little work in this area, more often as a freelancer, as this was not my main job. I received my diploma 10 years ago and a lot of what I learned then became outdated. Back then there wasn’t even a concept of UX/ UI. I decided to go back to doing UX/UI as I feel that this is an area I can excel in. Knowing what I needed to learn for my future job made it easier for me to choose this course. I advise anyone who wants to change their profession and doesn’t know where to start to sign up for Columbia Engineering UX/UI Boot Camp. I can assure you for sure that you will get a good starting base knowledge of UX/UI. During the course, you will create a personal portfolio which is not so easy to do on your own, especially if you are not familiar with web design and user research. I highly recommend Columbia Engineering UX/UI Boot Camp course!
