_nology is a global tech training and talent provider offering a 12-week, full-time, online Cloud Engineer. The course covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TDD, Google Cloud, Docker & Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Networking. _nology aims to tackle the skills shortage and lack of diversity within the tech sector by breaking down the barriers to entry and making space for everyone, regardless of their background.

No previous coding experience is required to apply for the Software Developer Training Course. _nology assesses applicants based on their potential, not whether they have experience in tech. Applicants should be passionate about technology, creative problem-solvers, self-starters, hardworking, and ready to learn.

Upon successful completion of the training cohort, _nologists receive a conditional job placement. Graduates are deployed as Junior Cloud Engineers or a Junior Software Developers (dependent on the training cohort joined) on an 18-month placement with one of _nology’s UK clients in an office-based, hybrid, or remote role. The starting salary is £26,000 with pay rises every 6 months. During this 18-month client placement, _nologists gain practical experience working on a variety of exciting projects as part of a real tech team. The Talent Team will be on hand throughout the placement to support and provide further coaching, with check-ins at week 1 and week 2, and monthly thereafter.

Good foundation to get a career launched

Really good experience where the people you do the course with make it! We had a fantastic team coupled with great trainers and that meant we could all learn in the very best environment. This led to me getting a role that I love as a UX Developer. I don't regret one bit of it!

Best way to start your tech career

    • If you're looking for a way into the tech world, or you have no idea what career path you want to take then this is a fantastic place to start. I went into this course not knowing what HTML was, but I came out with the ability to make full web applications from scratch.
    • I studied physics at Uni, and even though that looks good on paper, job opportunities outside of the physics world were rare for me. Employers would be making a pretty big investment because they don't kn...

An opportunity not to be missed

The 12 weeks at Nology gives you the best possible start to becoming a developer and starting your career in tech. The core skills learnt aren't necessarily the coding languages but the values that should be in every developer; from building your confidence to becoming more resilent and open to challenges. Those values are nurtured and you are encouraged to take the steps into becoming the best developers you can be!
Having completed Nology I feel much more confident in my ability eve...

    3 Months well spent.

The course at Nology was refreshingly different from other courses I’ve been a part of. The experience I gained from the course was invaluable, not only did we go through the theory and history of coding but the trainers gave us lots of opportunity to put the theory into practice through a series of coding challenges and projects from external businesses.

Over the 3 months of the course I saw a more then noticeable difference in my coding ability, I came to the...

    A great introduction into tech

Having done this course after completing a 3 year Computer Science degree it's interesting to see the differences.

    Pros:

    - This course teaches right from the beginning, no previous experience necessary

    - You will come out of this course with a greater knowledge (within the specific areas you study) than a Computer Science graduate (again, just those areas not overall)

    - In a degree you would have a couple of hours a week contact time for each module ...

    A solid investment!

The nology course was exactly as advertised, both in terms of what was required of me and what I would get out of it at the end.

The trainers were always willing to spend their spare time working with people eager to get some extra hours in. In addition to this, the candidates selected for the course helped create a collaborative environment that made those times of particularly high intensity more manageable.

During the course my code quality was vastly improved by rep...

    Provides excellent experience

I really enjoyed my time at _nology. The course is a really refreshing, engaging way of learning, and the practicality that comes from learning while working on actual projects feels invaluable.

The learning environment is great and the pace, whilst quick, isn't overwhelming, and both Craig and Liam are more than happy to sit down and explain any of the more difficult or abstract concepts.

It's not all just work either - there's a social side to the course too, and ther...

    12 week bootcamp

I took the plunge and decided to have a career change and choosing Nology was the best decision. The 12 week course is jam packed with content and I still can't believe how much we learnt in such a short space of time. We learnt HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, React, Java, Springboot and we spent some time learning about GCP and databases. My favourite parts were definitely the projects we did. We started with a personal project each week on the topics we had learnt then we completed a real...

    Junior Software Engineer

The course was really helpful. I went into the course not knowing much about coding, I always tried to learn online but it never helped until I did this course. The tutors are really friendly and nice, they help you and are very patient. The resources and knowledge they provide are useful.

    12 Week Software Developer Course

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience on the Nology course and would recommend it to those wanting to get into the world of tech. The course's supportive environment made learning coding languages and engaging in challenging concepts an absolute pleasure. When we were working on our projects, the coaches acted as a safety net for when we were struggling or in need of direction, allowing for a mix of independent and supported learning that helped me sharpen my skills on my own while also pro...

    Worth the time

Overall the experience was great. The instructors were always friendly and helpful throughout, everyone else on the course was nice and there was a wide range of content taught. I had a guaranteed job at the end lined up so I didn't have issues with job assistance, but we still had good support for CVs and interview practice. Having been able to do a mock client project was a big benefit that other places didn't offer, giving the experience of a more realistic day to day environment. The...

    12 week consultancy program

To begin, I'm a graduate of this course. Three months ago, I was studying for a bachelor of Business and had no experience or knowledge of programming. Looking back now I've come a long way. Initially when I signed up for this, I was on the fence on whether this was a scam or not, it didn't help that the interview process is quite long, but once the course started it got better and better from there. I've never heard of a course that guarantees a job if we pass the things we are expected...

We often hear the question, “What’s the best bootcamp to get a job?” Of course, some students will always attend a bootcamp for fun or to learn something new, but according to Course Report research, ~91% of students attend a bootcamp in order to get a job. Coding Bootcamps won’t “give” you a job, but a legitimate bootcamp should be career-focused and outcomes-oriented. This means that the cu...

And considering that 1 in 5 people have learning or attention issues, it’s prudent for bootcamps to support all types of learners.
