Green Fox Academy
Green Fox Academy is a coding bootcamp that offers full-time and part-time software development bootcamps online or in-person at its campuses in Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Students will participate in a school-based mentoring methodology where only 10% of class time will be used for instruction. Throughout the courses, learning will be based on completing assignments. In the first two months, students work on introductory training exercises, then the second two months will be dedicated to sample projects.
Green Fox Academy not only focuses on coding, but the school gives great emphasis to the development of soft skills such as communication, presentation skills, cooperation, and working well in a team. Students will also have access to psychologists during the entire length of the course for coaching sessions. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to take on junior level software development roles.
To apply, applicants must complete a 4-step admission process that takes 2 weeks. Step 1 is to fill out an online form, and select their preferred technology focus. Step 2 is an online test to evaluate an applicant's cognitive skills. Step 3 is a personal interview with Green Fox to learn more about the applicant. For step 4, applicants must participate in a 1-hour simulated pair class where their digital literacy is assessed.

GFA literally changed my life
I was thrilled with the course and the outcome. We started with basics and continued building on top of that. I was able to proceed even with no previous experience with programming. It was also possible to arrange a 1:1 lecture with my mentor outside of his regular schedule when I struggled due to a lack of time for learning on my side. Lifechanging experience, 100% recommend.
I've attended full-time for 4,5 months. I started to "learn" few weeks before the course started. But from the beginning, you don't really know what to learn, so I was without any experience in coding. Not gonna lie, it was the toughest 4,5 months of my life. It was hard and challenging, but I got a lot of help from mentors and classmates. I was unsure for the first week or so and considered quitting, but I'm so glad I didn't! Lifechanging bootcamp 🤩
Greenfox Academy bootcamp gave me so much and even more that i could imagine. I was able to change my career successfully and finally do something that i love :) overall the mentors were really helpfull , the topics taught were usefull and interesting and we even had soft skills trainings which taught me a lot as well. The only negatíves were that the course took 6 months instead of the marketed 4,5 due to a lot of breaks, and the price is quite astronomical.
