The Best Abidjan Coding Bootcamps Of 2024

Tech Joy was the second bootcamp I enrolled in.  I was looking for a job and not having much luck, so I decided to try it because it included an internship.  It was worth every penny!  I was able to learn my second programming language as well as experienced being a part of a team, using a ticketing system and collaborating on GitHub.   The Discord server was also a great place for networking with other techies with its welcoming atmosphere.  Best of all, after being in the program for 7 months, I found a paid apprenticeship in tech!   I highly recommend Tech Joy Academy! 

 

   The instructors are good, and they are actually working in the fields that they are teaching. They share a lot of information, give real world examples and put a bit of themselves into each class. After graduation, Fullstack does offer resume and interview assistance. You will learn a lot of really good and useful tools and information.
   I was working a full-time 40+ hour job while doing this online part-time bootcamp and wasn't able to do any school work while at my full-time job. Because of this I found it very difficult to keep up with the course work. They give you a lot of great information but it comes fast and it doesn't stop. I like to compare it to a speeding train and you're holding on but the train doesn't stop, it keeps flying down the track. If I fell behind, it was nearly impossible for me to catch up. I inquired about extra help but was denied and told that the 20 minutes of office hours, every 2 weeks, was enough (it wasn't). I understand they are revamping the process and offering longer office hours, so maybe that will help.  I reached out to the Student Success Manager (SSM) but it seems as though they don't care if you're succeeding, just if you're failing or not. Except for the handful of quizzes in the beginning, I failed every test and yet some how I passed and graduated. It seemed that most of my cohort classmates didn't have a job or had a part-time job or a job where they could do class work when they were at their jobs. If one of those options is your situation, I say go for it, but if you are in my situation, it's going to be really difficult. It was for me anyway.
   I think the ultimate success of this bootcamp is if I can get a job in the field of study. I graduated a couple weeks ago and still job hunting, so I can't really say if the bootcamp was a success or not. Working a part-time job while working a full-time job feels like 2 full-time jobs, so before you sign-up, think about your situation carefully and whether you have the time and energy to keep up with the pace for 6 months.

I recently transitioned from graphic design to cyber security, and I'm grateful for Evolve Academy's support. This was such an amazing experience that I actually came back to Prime twice. I attended the UX Design program back in 2019 and when my life took a turn and I needed to pivot, when I decided to go back to school for Full-Stack Development I decided to go back to Prime for their FS program. The experience at Prime is one not just of learning but support. From the instructors, support staff, and extensive alumni there is so much after program support. When i was researching other programs in my area, I couldn't find any that had the comprehensive support that Prime has for its students and alumni. To include career support as part of the program is rare but at Prime it's just another piece of the puzzle. I felt that in 20 weeks of the program, I absorbed so much. My instructors for the Full Stack program were so helpful. The saying is at Prime it is a fire hose turned up to 100. It's an intense, full time program that demands a lot of it's students. But that intensity is what allows its students to be more flexible, adaptable, and also fosters an ability to learn new technologies AFTER the program that we otherwise wouldn't have had the ability to understand. 

This course was excellent and focused on everything you need to be able to successfully gain an internship or junior role. The mentoring was amazing and they were excellent at helping us to be job ready. I was also extremely impressed at how well they transitioned to online learning during the pandemic.

16 weeks may seem like a daunting time commitment, but the course is so worth it! The way the Data Science Dojo crew runs their bootcamp program is very thorough. The lessons and homework flow very intuitively. The modules covered build on concepts in a way that really helps with understanding. The instructors really promote class interaction which is good for tackling these topics in such a short time, getting our engagement rather than simply lecturing at us. They also encourage participation in a class Kaggle competition, which helps with additional free-form practical application of the concepts covered in class (plus some friendly competition for motivation). Most importantly, the instructors are very interactive, hands on, and passionate. They want to see every cohort succeed in their learning and you can see the labor of love that goes into teaching us, providing quality content both in the sessions and via the course site. This really sets them apart from other bootcamps, especially those provided online.

The course covers all the hot topics in the Data Science field, grounding in the perspective that the bootcamp is looking to prepare students with a broad range of experiences. I appreciate the context they provide and the thought that went into exposing us to a little bit of everything and the skills to jump in. 

Honest review, while I joined at this company, I got a lot of experiences and lessons in this company. Technical lessons, communication and collaboration lessons, and life lessons. Before entering this company, I had a background as an IT graduate from a campus in Indonesia, and after entering this company there were a lot of lessons that I didn't get at all while I was in college.

The use of technology is diverse, so if you are really looking for knowledge, this is the right place. In fact, breakfast, lunch and evening are always provided every day. Not only that, here for intensive pairing there are mess for you to live in.

So, if you are looking for a company with full of IT knowledge, this is the right company for you.

An extremely useful and helpful bootcamp. Instructors and Career people knew what their stuff, and were always willing to help, be it with a bit of code or an interview. Career people have an interest in seeing you land that position and stay in touch after everything has come to a close, offering tips, interview help and pointing you in the direction of open positions.

I don’t think I could overstate the value of my time at NSS. I was a paralegal for 10 years and had no coding background or exposure to the tech world. I left the program feeling confident in my coding skills and having already accepted an offer with a starting salary nearly 60% higher than my previous job. I think NSS’s real competitive edge is 1) their wide network of employers who regularly hire from their programs and 2) the fact that they are a nonprofit. They really want you to succeed and get a great job, and they will do everything in their power to help you do it. Also, they want to do it as cheaply as possible, which is not the case with any other bootcamps I’ve seen. Great instructional teams, great career training, and great networking opportunities. This is a career launching program. Best decision of my life.

When deciding on which coding bootcamp there are several key factors when need to consider, and in this review, I will explain those key factors and how LEARN Academy proved to be the best professional educational decision for my goals. 

Overall, there are plenty more points to speak about when speaking about LEARN but at the end of the day after three months of classroom instruction, I was successfully contributing to an agile development team at a tech company in San Diego. The process to prepare for the bootcamp, take the bootcamp, and perform at your internship is INTENSE. The skills to learn to code is like learning a foreign language you constantly need to have a growth mindset and practice, practice, practice. 10 months after my bootcamp I am still growing and learning each day and that never changes. You must have it within yourself to persevere, be a self-starter, and make many many many personal, financial, and family sacrifices to have a chance at getting a junior developer position in 2021. With that being said LEARN is the most well-rounded and experienced resource available in the San Diego area to place your faith in to prepare you for a successful life-changing career pivot. 

I recently graduated from the Turn Up Bootcamp, and I will start by telling you that I could not imagine how much I would be learning there. In only two months, I learned more than enough to obtain the knowledge to get a great mark in the Associate Reactive Developer OutSystems Certification, and I gained project experience, both in a group and alone. Furthermore, I learned valuable skills besides OutSystems technologies, such as SQL and Data Structures and Algorithms. All the staff: trainers, HR, and coordination were always very helpful and very easy to talk to, enhancing the experience of the bootcamp! I am now really excited for the opportunities that will come with my new skillset!
