The BrainStation team, in general, is always trying to help and be available for the students, so try to use their help anytime you need it.

Being a bootcamp, there are some assumptions that you need to know upfront:- It will be FAST paced! It is a bootcamp after all. It will feel like cramming a few uni semesters into one.
- You need to have some competency in Python and A level/uni maths.
- Commit the ENTIRE 3 months to this course. Pretty much doesn’t leave much time for anything else.
Having said that, the course materials are very comprehensive and instructors very supportive.
Career coach is also very helpful, though of course only as helpful as the effort that you put in yourself.
There’s just a few areas that the course is lacking, which is understandable due to its short duration:- More comprehensive SQL. The bootcamp only touhes it superficially, though the industry seems to emphasise on this.
- Data visualisation softwares. Qlik/Tableau/Power BI is not covered at all, but will be a huge bonus if you have some competency.
Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you’re looking to do a career switch or to gain data science competency.

First of all, I have a great support system at home that allowed me to focus 100% on this course for 4 months. I was able to take a recourse to prepare me for the full-time program.
The first month was HARD. I thought I was going to give up. The assignments are fast, and I spent all of my free time studying. It was difficult not to compare where I stood to others in my class. At my toughest moment, I reached out to my Career Services Manager and my TA. They both helped encourage me and offer support when I needed them.
I would say the most important take-aways for those looking to join the bootcamp: Make sure you have a support system. Don't compare yourself to others in the class. Stay dedicated and find the motivation behind why you're doing this.
Coding Dojo has great resources throughout the course, that continue on for 6 months after you graduate. There is also an option to pay more for a yearly alumni pass.

Overall it was an amazing experience and I definitely would recommend this bootcamp to anyone that asks "What coding bootcamps are worth it?"

My success manager is great, helping connect me to the appropriate tutors and information when I've needed it, and I think everything I've learned so far has been extremely practical. Like, very practical. Thankful for that. Learning something is new never comfortable, but the journey so far has been so worth it. I am 5 sprints in, going strong. I also would say that the expectations I received prior to enrolling (time, course structure, etc..) are almost exactly what I experience on a day to day basis which is wonderful. 20 hours a week really will get you a new skillset if you devote the time.

Other than that, this is one of the most affordable bootcamps that I've seen while I was researching. They offer many payment plans that fits your budget. And I took the live classes, which was only 9 weeks, compared to other bootcamps that usually take 3 to 6 months. Overall experience 10/10! and I'll be graduating tomorrow!!

I had a really great cohort and met some amazing people in this program. We did have our first teacher leave halfway through the program, which threw some of us off a little as they were an amazing teacher and then we had to switch to a completely new teaching style. Our new teacher was knowledgeable and a little faster paced than our previous one. I was fine with the fast pace because it works for me, so I enjoyed him as a teacher overall. We did some great projects and work together.
Financing wise was the hardest for me being an out of state remote student which is why I cannot continue to Immersions (Software Development) unfortunately. If you are an out of state student just be mindful or have the full tuition prepared because you cannot get the school's deferred tuition or other help if you cannot get a loan for both halves of the program. As the program is split into two parts (Coding Foundations and Software Development) you can be approved for a Climb loan for the first half and not approved for the second, leaving you with no certification or job assistance and a loan to pay back. If you're in state they have many options and resources available to help you.
In the end it was a rewarding experience and I learning a lot. I am grateful for this experience and I'm excited to continue my journey on a slightly different path than I intended! We had some student services employees taking the class with us and they are phenomenal people so I know students are in good hands when entering immersions and beyond! Thank you to everyone who put up with my silliness you are the best. I may have to visit Indiana someday because you guys represented so well!

The back-end education and concepts we went over during our object-oriented programming in Java section were also incredibly valuable to me since I do not have a computer science degree. Last November I subbed for a guy at a theater who was leaving to take a coding bootcamp. I was like, wait, a what camp? You mean I can learn how to do this coding thing for real?
Last week I launched my app, built from the ground up in Java and Spring, with the things I learned from Coding Nomads. Feels great!
Coding Nomads has been great. I liked it so much that I started their Javascript course recently. Here's what the founder said about my capstone project: "Your capstone is among the best we've ever seen here at CodingNomads and we've worked with hundreds of students. So, job well done!"
My intention is not to leave pro audio, but I do see software development as my next career act. Ideally, I'd like to keep building Tracebook and SubAligner, while doing freelance development work for manufacturers, AV companies, and the live event industry.
